Properties and Supply of SBR Rubber (NEPA 250)
SBR is widely used because it withstands various conditions and is therefore applicable in many sectors. The material is wear-resistant, heat-resistant and ages slowly. NEPA 250 has strong mechanical properties and returns to its original shape after compression, preventing tearing. This rubber is resistant to acids, alkaline solutions, water vapour, salts and moisture, although it is mainly used indoors. NEPA supplies SBR in black, fully custom-made in various shapes such as gaskets, rings, blocks or strips. The material is easy to process and can be supplied uncoated or self-adhesive on one or both sides.
Applications of NEPA 250
SBR rubber is used as bearing rubber in constructions, for example under heavy beams or as a spacer. It is also suitable for sealing applications in sectors such as construction, industry, maritime and even aerospace. SBR rubber sheets help limit airflow or leakage and can serve as insulation, sealing or shock absorption depending on their form. These seals provide protection against air, dust or water. The material is particularly suitable for indoor use without direct sunlight and is used in subfloors, springs, bearings and car tyres.
