Product description
Properties and Supply of Neoprene Rubber (NEPA 860)
Neoprene rubber, also known as CR rubber, combines the UV and ozone resistance of EPDM with the oil resistance of NBR. NEPA 860 enhances these properties, making the material suitable for long-term contact with oil, fuel and petroleum. The rubber is resistant to fresh and salt water, weather, ageing, wear, water vapour, acids, alkaline solutions, aliphatic solvents, oils and greases. It is also gas-tight. NEPA 860 can be supplied uncoated or with a single- or double-sided self-adhesive layer and is fully custom-made.
Applications of NEPA 860
This neoprene rubber is used indoors and outdoors, for example in construction, industry and public areas. With a hardness of 60 Shore A and a load capacity up to 10 N/mm², it is suitable as bearing rubber. Thanks to its resistance to oil and seawater, it is widely used in maritime and offshore sectors. NEPA 860 is suitable for sealing against air, water and dust, offering a long service life even under UV and ozone exposure. The material can also be used for shock absorption, sound insulation and electrical insulation.
