AQMOS R2D2-32 Water Softener

The AQMOS R2D2-32 is an advanced water softener with a housing featuring a removable lid. It contains a GVV pressure vessel filled with high-quality ion-exchange resin. The housing doubles as a salt reservoir, sufficient for 3 to 4 months of use, and is equipped with a volume-controlled BNT 1650 valve mounted directly on the pressure vessel.

Volume Control

The electronic BNT 1650 valve monitors soft water consumption via an integrated water meter. Regeneration starts at 2:00 AM after reaching the preset soft water volume. A reserve capacity ensures lime-free water even after exceeding the set limit.

Ion-Exchange Resin

The ion-exchange resin, charged with sodium ions, swaps calcium and magnesium ions in hard water for sodium ions, producing soft water. The resin has a lifespan of over 20 years.

Regeneration

When the resin is saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, the system automatically regenerates using a salt solution (sodium chloride). Calcium and magnesium ions are flushed out via a separate drain, and the resin is recharged with sodium ions. An integrated bypass provides untreated water during regeneration.

Forced Regeneration

If no soft water is used, such as during a vacation, the system performs a mandatory regeneration on day 10 to prevent resin contamination.

Salt Refill

One salt fill lasts 3 to 4 months, depending on water hardness and consumption. A safety float valve with a buoy prevents overflow in the housing.
