The MannTek N210M4401 is a robust 2 inch Marine Safety Breakaway coupling made of high-grade 316 stainless steel, specifically developed to protect loading arms and hose assemblies during offshore operations. In the event of an accidental tensile load such as a vessel drifting away. the coupling acts as a controlled weak link. The system breaks at a predefined point, after which both ends are instantly and securely sealed to prevent leakage.
What makes this Marine version unique is its increased resistance to torsion and bending forces. This prevents the coupling from activating prematurely due to natural sea movements; separation only occurs under a pure axial tensile force. Equipped with Viton seals and full ATEX and PED certification, this compact coupling is highly versatile for the safe transfer of fuels and chemicals between ships or platforms, even under harsh conditions.
